Regular Ground Testing Vital for Safety

  • Uncategorized

Metrel test equipment helps companies test their ground or earth regularly to make sure the power system is functioning correctly and ultimately protect staff from shocks that could occur due to failure of electrical device installation. Weather is a main cause of causing grounds to fail, and a faulty ground is bound to create fire or injury if not corrected.

To test for proper ground, various ground resistance testing units can be used to make sure there is no exposure to potential risk of impending failure.

The Metrel ground tester model 2088 will monitor fall potential, point-to-point testing and slope. Its output of 50 to 1000 volts with testing resistance of up to almost 30 gig ohms promises to offer proper measurements to analyze and diagnose problems.

Other HV diagnostics systems include the Megger 250202 model that provides digital ground testing with 50 volt maximum testing capability. The Megger meter systems also include other models that provide earth and ground tests with different voltage outputs, peaks and test currents to suit a wide range of needs.

In addition to Metrel and Megger brands, we have ground testing equipment and accessories from many other makers as well including AEMC, Amprobe, Fluke and Ohmic. Get our complete list and pricing by contacting us at 1-866-352-5550.
