Power Quality Analyzers

Fluke_1750-32Power Quality Analyzers are measuring instruments used to identify anomalies within a power system that can ultimately shorten the life of the equipment that it supplies.  Many of these anomalies lead to electrical stresses, and if not identified and remedied, failure of the electrical equipment that this power system supplies.

Another application for a Power Quality Analyzer would be to generate a characteristic profile of a circuit prior to adding load.

Fluke power quality meters, such as the 1750 Three Phase Power Recorder, monitor:

  •        RMS voltages and currents
  •        Transient voltages
  •        Sags and Swells
  •        Harmonics Content, as well as
  •        Power consumption, imbalances and associated losses

The Dranetz power quality analyzer, the PowerXplorer PX5 Power Monitor, allows the user to define recording parameters upon capture of specific events.

Both the Fluke Power Quality meters and the Dranetz power monitors are available for daily rental from Protec Equipment Resources.
