Megger 210415 Measures Insulation Resistances of Up to 100,000 Megohms

A megohmmeter (sometimes referred to as a megger) is an electrical test instrument designed to test extremely high resistances by producing a DC (direct current) voltage. A megohmmeter produces a high voltage, low current DC charge which allows for testing resistances commonly encountered in electric motor winding or cable insulation tests.

Megger_210415The Megger 210415 15kV Analog Megohmeter is an insulation test set used in measuring resistances on cable insulations and insulation of other electrical devices.

A high voltage Megohmmeter that has a variable output voltage of up to 15 Kilo Volts, the Megger 210415 can measure insulation resistances of up to 100,000 Megohms. This device can conduct dielectric absorption and step voltage tests which makes it ideal in detecting bad insulation spots and bad layers in multi-layered insulators. It has an integrated voltage stabilizer that can be switched on for accurate measurements. The Megger 210415 is built to be tough and resist impact which allows the device to handle harsh outdoor environments.

Megger 210415 15kV Analog Megohmeter features:
• Continuously variable test voltage
• Rugged field construction
• Circuit-breaker protection
• Redundant grounding connections
• Easy-to-follow, color-coded meter scales
• Analog metering for monitoring of variable measurements
