The low voltage (less than 1.4 V) test signal of the ABB CB-2000 is generated only when a measurement is made in order to minimize power consumption, and the measurement frequency is automatically adjusted according to the measured capacitance for best possible results, and to ensure reproducibility. The meter has a measuring range of 0-1000 μF, and up to five measurements can be stored and shown for each measurement object.
Measurements produced by the ABB CB-2000 are time stamped and the internal temperature at the time of measurement is stored as well. The data can later be downloaded to a PC for storage and analysis using the accompanying software.
